On December 7, 2020, Randall & Quilter Investment Holdings Ltd. (“R&Q”) announced the formation and A.M. Best “A-” rating of Accredited Specialty Insurance Company (“ASI”)
- ASI is a newly formed excess & surplus (“E&S”), Arizona-domiciled insurance company
- ASI will focus on program / MGA business across the U.S. E&S market
- Adds to R&Q’s U.S. admitted program carrier, Accredited Surety and Casualty Company (“ASC”)
- In addition to European subsidiary, Accredited Insurance Europe Ltd.
ASI’s operations will be led by its recently appointed CEO, Patrick Rastiello
- Rastiello has over 40 years of industry experience focused on MGAs / program management
R&Q is a non-life global specialty insurance company
- Operates in two core, highly complementary businesses: Program Mgmt. and Legacy Insurance
- Program Management generates commission income from its licensed (and rated) carriers in the U.S., EU, and U.K., writing niche and profitable program business
- Legacy Insurance generates profits and capital extractions from expert management of run-off non-life insurance portfolios
- R&Q is publicly traded on the AIM London Stock Exchange under the ticker RQIH
